Cambria: We had a little "girls time" at the park together. 

Ezra: Arcade game magnet. Took him to see his first movie and this is where he ended up.

Avett at 8 months

Avett I love you so very much. Honestly, the last eight months have been a crazy whirlwind. I didn't know it before it happened, but transitioning from two to three children is disorienting and so that's a good way to describe how I feel about the time since you've been with us. Disorienting but wonderful. I absolutely love our family and your presence here. You are such a sweet, beautiful baby. People tell us often how truly beautiful you are and I have to agree. Since birth you have not slept a night anywhere other than right next to me. I am sleep deprived usually by my own fault because you still only wake 1-3 times a night, nurse a little, then go right back to sleep. It is obvious how much you love your brother and your sister. You are fascinated with them and love to watch them play and laugh. They love you back just as much. Every morning you guys are happy to see each other. You have loved being worn from Day1 and that has not changed a bit. You spend A LOT of time in the Ergo or in the ring sling. You are happier when being worn and it makes our daily life much easier. Breastfeeding/my boobs are probably your #1 favorite thing. Nursing has come so naturally to both of us from the beginning and I feel that we benefit from it equally. Breastfeeding provides you with comfort, nourishment, and a deep connection with me. I LOVE feeding you from my breast and will miss it terribly when I no longer have a baby to nurse. You and I have this attachment that runs deep, I treasure it. You eat very little "real food" because we don't give you many opportunities and your thighs prove that you are far from hungry or starved. I adore your blond hair, your big blue eyes and your rolls on top of rolls. You smile and laugh often and you are very ticklish just like your brother, sister and dad. You haven't shown any serious signs of getting ready to crawl; maybe you'll skip that milestone like your sister. You DO like to stand up while we hold your hands. You have been an amazing little addition to our family these past eight months and you are treasured by each of us. <3

10 things today

These are 10 things I know today.

1 When you discuss and follow the moon phases on a daily basis full moon time becomes VERY exciting. The moon is amazing and beautiful.

2 Children learn constantly. You could "teach" them nothing and they would learn, it's innate.

3 My days are busy and exhausting, but they fly by. The days are long short and the years are short. Remember this always. Like how is he this big and adorable?

4  You can have fun with play dough at any age.

5 Contrary to my previous feelings, the beach is a good time.

6 My dad loves to fish and has passed that joy to my children. 

7 You gotta do what ya gotta do. Like nurse your baby in the middle of Kroger while your other children take pictures of you and chew on bags of frozen vegetables. 

8 Cooking with helpers is more stress AND more fun.

9 Summer 2013 has been the summer of rain. It has literally rained almost every day. I love rain so I cannot complain.

10 Whole foods is a great addition to the city of Savannah.

Ezra: This series of pictures might be the cutest thing ever. This is Ezra's ring bearer attire for Aunt Katie's wedding coming up in November.

Happy 4th birthday Cambria!

Today you turned 4. 

The day you were born seems like so long ago yet I cannot wrap my head around the idea that you are now FOUR YEARS OLD. 

In the last four years you have learned so much about the world and I have learned so much from you. 

You made me a mother, that is so special to me. 

Today you can count, read, draw, color, paint, play, write, sing, dance, imagine, love, kiss, laugh, jump, and run, among many other things. 

Today you are shy, observant, talkative, intelligent, spunky, beautiful, and kind.

You have ideas and thoughts that are truly amazing. 

You have challenged me from the moment you were born and I think it will never stop, I love this fact.  

You bring an immeasurable amount of joy and life to this family and I am thankful for your presence every single day. 

You are my sweet, precious Cambria Sky and I will love you forever. 

Happy birthday my princess ballerina! 

You dipped your toes in the ocean today because that's how you wanted to spend your day <3
