Some things we do

Cook. This day we were making applesauce.
Read, Read, Read. Also, Ezra likes to stick Band aids on his face, as you can see from the picture.
Make book paths to walk on.
Paint.
Look cute in footsie pjs.
Celebrate birthdays. The 17th was Grandma's.
Play outside.  The leaves are especially fun right now.
Make silly faces while grocery shopping.
Take naps on the couch, rarely.
Hold hands.
Cheer for Georgia Teach!

Halloweeeeeeeen!

HALLOWEEN 2012

Halloween this year turned out to be the funnest yet! Both Cambria and Ezra were totally aware of what was happening and they both had adorable costumes. Initially Cambria wanted to be Cinderella.  I wasn't very excited about the idea, but who am I to try and convince a 3 year old to change her mind about who she wants to be for Halloween.  But one night we started looking at costumes online and when she saw a Dorothy costume she immediately changed her mind. I was so excited! Ezra would say he wanted to be a "bad bird" (angry birds), a pumpkin, a yellow bird, and a lion.  We ultimately decided he didn't care much either way and went with being the lion from the Wizard of Oz so their costumes would go together.

We talked about Halloween for weeks and weeks leading up to the actual event so when it was finally here we were all ready to trick-or-treat. Cambria had everything for her costume including red slippers and even Toto in a basket!  She also got a little makeup which she LOVED. We were thinking Ezra wouldn't put on his costume since he never wanted to try it on when it came in the mail, but Halloween day he had absolutely no problem.

The only downfall to this Halloween--I didn't make their costumes. I WILL be making their costumes in years to come. It's one of those motherhood things I just really want to do.

We started the day at storytime and all the kids got to wear their costumes. So fun! We had a costume parade and then each child received treats. Needless to say, both Cambria and Ezra sat still and quiet for a solid ten minutes devouring their treats.
First of lots and lots of candy.
Hug for little brother
Finally 6 o'clock arrived and it was time to start trick-or-treating! Cambria was extremely preoccupied with all the candy coming her way so I had a hard time getting good pictures of her.
Best friends.
Beautiful Dorothy with makeup and all.
One of the only decent shots I got of the two of them together.
Lion!
Cambria didn't want to be in our family picture.
First house.  Ezra's very first time ever.
Mom and Casey.
Ezra being admired by his Mimi and Grandma.
Cambria is already dreaming about what she wants to be next year. :)
Check out Halloween 2011.

Ashley's Wood Quote

I recently made my sister a wood quote for her 26th birthday. I love this quote and thought it would be perfect for her.  After I gave it to her she told me it was a quote she's always loved. Success!

I am very happy with the finished product, hope you love it Ash. :)

2012 Heart of Savannah 5k

Kyle and I have run the Heart of Savannah 5k for the past two years and successfully continued the tradition this year.  The course starts and ends at Forsyth Park and travels around several squares downtown, it's a pretty run. Cambria also ran the kiddie 1/4 mile run last year and ran it again this year along with Ezra. Except Ezra wasn't exactly in running condition due to his injured leg from a slide accident a few weeks prior.  We made it to the race just in time for the start of the kiddie run, typical us. :) Cambria was nervous in the beginning and wanted my mom to hold her, but about halfway through she got into running mode and became serious about reaching the finish line. They both got medals at the end and were very excited about that.
Cambria and Grandma rounding the corner to the finish line.
I carried Ezra the whole way. Definitely got me warmed up for the race!
Post race, with their medals.
Kyle starting.
Mesmerized watching all the runners with Grandma. Thanks for coming with us Mom!
Heading in to the finish.
Chris ran it too! Yes, those are the shoes Kyle runs in.
Ezra loves his Uncle Chris :)
They both wanted to be held by Grandma and Cambria is picking her nose. haha
I've managed to place in my age group the last two years, but didn't manage it this year at almost 23 weeks pregnant. My times for the last three years: 25:18 in 2010 (I was pregnant for Ezra during this one), 24:54 in 2011, and 29:33 in 2012. Overall happy with myself! Kyle has improved his time by more than two minutes every year, I'm so proud of him! Hopefully we'll be able to keep up the tradition next year!

GT game and Zoo Atlanta

This past weekend we made a trip up to Atlanta to visit family, see Georgia Tech play some football and to check out Zoo Atlanta. It was a busy weekend that left us all tired, but still happy for the experiences.  I have been taking NO pictures lately so I made a point to capture a few moments this weekend.
playing with Raya while destroying her house at the same time  :)
pretty girl
Ramblin' Wreck!
And just for fun, here's a picture of the same thing last year.

Cambria was SO EXCITED to be at the game.
Ezra was mostly awe-struck by everything happening around him.
Family <3 font="font">
We got to sit by Erin & Erin!!
Ezra fell in love with Buzz! Cambria would not go near him...once again.
Sunday we headed to Zoo Atlanta with our free tickets from the library. All you have to do is check out a DVD about the zoo from any public library in Georgia, watch it, return it, and the librarian will give you a free pass for two adults and two kids! Pretty awesome! It would've cost us like 50 bucks if we'd had to pay!!!
We could've watched the gorillas all day.
We were so happy Amber tagged along.
Cambria read the map and gave us directions :)
The whole gang, minus me.
Ray-Ray!
Playing at the park within the zoo. Nice belly shot in this one.
It was an awesome weekend. I'm so thankful Ashley and Phillip put up with us! We'll be back in a few weeks for another exciting weekend!
