Today I felt proud to be an American.
It's been 10 years since September 11th, 2001.
I cannot believe it.
I think what touched my heart the deepest today was watching family members of those who died on 9/11 read the names of the victims and heroes aloud at ground zero.
In 2001, I was in 8th grade and really didn't understand the scope and severity of the attacks that took place on that day.
Today I understand completely and my heart is heavy.
I know we will never forget.
